Will the color fade?
When using a quality color hardener, following the manufacturer's specifications, plus a quality UV protectant sealer, it should not fade. For maximum durability, the sealer should be maintained as recommended by the manufacturer.

Will stenciled concrete be harmed under freeze/thaw conditions?
No, provided you maintain the sealer. A good sealer is the key to protecting your concrete from ice and deicing salts.

What are the advantages of stenciled concrete versus brick, stone, tile, and so on?
Stenciled concrete can be reinforced to serve any structural need or purpose. Stenciled concrete offers the option of multi-colored, patterned, and textured designs to compliment the existing structure. It is a lower cost, lower maintenance product.

Are DCI products for the do-it-yourself installer?
DCI products are not recommended as a do-it-yourself project. The effects created with a properly applied stencil and the appropriate colors are varied and beautiful. However, without extensive knowledge of concrete and how it reacts to our products, the environment, the concrete mix, the lay of the land, and various other factors, you are often only one step away from a very expensive mistake.
